Now is the time for target seat candidates to start making unreasonable demands and I am no exception to that. We have had such good news over the past few weeks and I think the campaign is really gaining momentum: the sitting MP has now conceded it is a close race and that the Liberal Democrats are putting up a strong challenge. So please read on and volunteer - the garden doesn't need weeded, the spring cleaning can wait till May and cancelling a few social engagements to help get the first Lib Dem MP in Glasgow North since Roy Jenkins will be something to tell your grandchildren! CANVASSING - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We had a great session with Hugh O'Donnell MSP and Robert Brown MSP on Sat 27th Feb, after the Otago Lane demo but we need more data and we need it now. If you like talking to people and you can spare a couple of hours on a midweek evening, we are out in the constituency most evenings. Full training given Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fridays: 6-8.30pm - venues in and around the constituency Please let constituency organiser, Hazel King know if you are going to join us and to find out the meeting point for that evening, on hazel.king@katygordon.org.uk or phone her on 07977 909 182, or call the office on 0141 221 3167. HELPING ACHIEVE OUR FUNDRAISING TARGET The glitch on my website has been fixed and it is now possible to donate to my campaign online. Just go to my website www.katygordon.org.uk and click on the Donate button. The donation goes via the Scottish Liberal Democrats but is tagged for my campaign so the funds will be passed on to us. It is through the generous donations we have received from members and supporters so far that we have been able to run the campaign we planned for and that has got us so close to winning the seat. In the final few weeks however, we still need funds, to be able to pay for the literature planned during the campaign and to fund extra telephone canvassing to identify more supporters. Please consider donating to the campaign and helping with the final push to get a Lib Dem MP in Glasgow North. Thank you. Lunch provided for those that stay all day If you are able to bring a car, that would really help with lifts to the drop off points. Please let us know if you can. If you would like to join us but can't come along till later in the day, please let me or Hazel know and we can arrange where to meet you. Remember the Obama message: BRING A FRIEND! Accommodation can be provided for those coming from outwith the area, but please let us know in advance as spaces will be limited. If you can help, please contact the constituency organiser, Hazel King, on hazel.king@katygordon.org.uk or phone her on 07977 909 182, or call the office on 0141 221 3167.
