Call for Consultations on Women's Policy4.10.05pm GMT Tue 24th Mar 2009 Thank you to all of you who came to the women's consultation session at Harrogate conference. We had some really good policy suggestions and were able to get a better idea of what party members want our policy paper to look like, but now we want even more input! We are hoping to make our consultation process as open and accessible as possible and that's why we have recently sent out postcards to all local party chairs in the country. The postcards include a selection of questions from the consultation paper and I would urge you all to look out for them and then encourage members of your local party to send us their views. You could get the discussion going by: • Holding a coffee morning and asking local members to discuss one or more of these questions • Using local party newsletters or email lists to encourage members to contribute their views • Putting this as an agenda item for discussion on your local party committee agenda, or refer it to your policy committee if you have one We're keen to hear from both men and women! The full consultation paper has 40 questions and some background information on the issues they raise, and can be found on the website http://consult.libdems.org.uk/ and clicking on "Women". The formal deadline for consultations responses is 6th April.
