Emma Bone will lead the Lib Dem campaign in Huddersfield

At a crowded meeting of Huddersfield constituency local party Emma Jane Bone was overwhelmingly selected to represent the Liberal Democrats at the next general election.

Emma was delighted by the result and said: "I look forward to the challenge;

There is a fantastic team of Liberal Democrat Councillors and activists in Huddersfield, working hard for local people in the community and on the Council.

We all know that the Conservatives cannot win in Huddersfield, and what better way to send a strong message to Tony Blair than for the people of Huddersfield to get behind a Lib Dem Candidate."

Emma who lives in Huddersfield, is a passionate campaigner for the rights of older people, school pupils, and university students.

"I look forward to showing people that there is a credible, keen and creative alternative to Labour in Huddersfield."
